The sports teams in New York who played
his weekend are 1- 1 so far. We can only hope that the Jets can mount a comeback. They still have one quarter to go. Well, the Jets lost.
Giants had a big win though some people think it was a close call. It doesn’t matter how you win as long as you win. Eli Manning brought the Giants back just like he did when they won the Superbowl. There is no replay on that play, so get over it. Every team needs a break some time. Cardinal fans – get over it. Win your other games if you can. You will get your breaks too.
The New York Jets did not get the same breaks. They just gave away 21 points through carelessness. Mark Sanchez needs to be protected better. Come on Jets Nation, get it together now. Beat the Patriots on Sunday and you will be back in the thick of things.
My new book titled Everyday Success was just launched today. I had been telling you in previous blogs to watch for it. Well it is here. I am actually doing a test run with a publishing company called Blurb and I will see how it goes for my next set of articles on online publishing. Online publishing is a big business but it can also take your money so be careful. I published with Blurb before but it was a wedding book as I am also a photographer.
This is my first venture at something for retail so I hope it goes well. You can preview the first 15 pages in the Blurb bookstore and then you can make your purchase also. Click on this link www.blurb.com and it will take you to the website. Just put in the title Everyday Success and you will see my new book. Please review and add your comments and make a purchase or tweet about it. Thanks for your support.

Ground Zero – The Past
Ground Zero- The Present
Ground Zero- The Future
9/11 Ten Years Later
In five days we will be recalling the events of 9/11 for the tenth time. For some that is good news, for others, bad news. Yes, this is the tenth anniversary of 9/11 and we should have some questions. One question could be, “Are we safer than we were ten years ago? Another question we might have is now that we are rebuilding the World Trade Center (WTC) on the very site that the twin towers stood, are we prone to another attack? Should Ground Zero be hallowed ground with only the memorial?
Yesterday was Labor Day, so being a photographer I went out to get a few photographs to see how people were spending their Labor Day. I wrote about it and I have pictures, so please take a look at yesterday’s blog. I went to lower Manhattan in New York City and I was really impressed with what I saw. There is a 9/11 Memorial on Vesey Street between Broadway and Church Street. It was packed. If you are ever in NYC go visit it. It is free, but, I did see a donation box. I don’t know if Washington, D.C. or Pennsylvania has anything like this, but, it will really give you some insight into the events of that day in New York City in particular. I have some pictures which I will post in my tribute on 9/11. Don’t miss it.
There are so many lessons from 9/11, but what we can all learn is that no matter if life has us at “ground zero” level, (the lowest level) we can make a decision to rise up and rebuild. It will be a challenge, but as long as you are breathing and you are in your right mind, don’t just stay down, but rise up and do the little that you can. To quote a “famous” person, “Yes, you can.” Enjoy your day!

Labor Day is tomorrow and it really should be a day to rest from our labor, but with so many people out of work, how many need to rest from their labor? The other irony of the situation is the sales. Surely, it is a great day to get good deals if you have money to spare. If you’re in New York City make sure you check out the West Indian Day Parade 2011 on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. One staple of Labor Day that we will miss tomorrow is the Jerry Lewis telethon. Well, we hope tropical storm Lee stay away from Brooklyn so we can enjoy the food and fun at the West Indian Day Parade. Be safe and enjoy your Labor Day.
