Super Bowl 45 -Snowstorm in Dallas

Hello world,

We are just about 24 hours away from Super Bowl XLV.  The only people not yet in Dallas are the fans who are stuck in airports in Pittsburgh and Green Bay.  The snow storm is really a phenomenon for the state of Texas and Dallas in particular.   Dallas is not used to this type of weather at all.  Snow!  Motorists driving on ice-covered streets! Unheard of. Yet, that is what is happening in Dallas.  Even Cowboys Stadium roof  is covered with snow, some of which fell off yesterday and injured seven people.   keep reading

Super Bowl XLV-Steelers Will Steel-Away To Glory

Steelers Will Steel The Cheese In Super Bowl XLV

Hello World,

Hope you are having a great week so far. I hope you are enjoying all the fanfare and buzz around Super Bowl XLV. In my post yesterday, I suggested that you
listen for the human interest stories.

Nonetheless, I am ready to make my prediction for the Super Bowl winner. Based on all that has
Happened throughout the season, the Green Bay Packers have shown they are a formidable team despite their record. Atlanta never showed up for their game and so the Packers are really going to be battle tested. Had the Chicago Bears played up to expectations, it would have been the Giants going to the next round.

That does not mean Green Bay Packers does not belong in the Super Bowl, I think it only means this game will be their biggest test yet. They have an excellent quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, but I think Ben Roethlisberger has been battle tested by the Ravens and the Jets and they are ready.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that is able to stop the run. I don’t expect the Packers to rack up too many yards on a great defensive team. I think the Steelers want this one especially because of the spotlight on Big Ben. My prediction is that the Pittsburgh Steelers will win 31-28 in a tight game.

Andy Petitte To Announce Retirement From Baseball

Just wanted to add that as a New York Yankee fan, I will miss Andy Pettite. He announces his retirement today at 10:30 from Yankee Stadium. It will be carried live on ESPN.

Super Bowl XLV- Showdown in Texas

Packers and Steelers Showdown in Texas

If the Steelers win the Super bowl on Sunday, will Ben Roethlisberger be considered among the great quarterbacks? Will he be in the same class as Peyton Manning or Tom Brady? It’s funny how we judge people.

In one breath we count how many Super bowl rings someone has and we say that makes them great. How many rings does Peyton have. Both Manning Brothers only have one ring each and yet, “Big Ben” with two rings and ton his way to a third is somehow not even in the same conversion.

It actually seems to me that if the Green Bay Packers win on Sunday, many people will call him great and will compare what he has done to what Bret Farve did. Life is funny and the standards by which we assign greatness seem to change depending on whether we like the person or not.

Look at Michael Vick. He was being touted as MVP and the same Eagles fans who wanted nothing to do with him in the beginning, soon forgot Donavon McNabb. The point is that whatever you do in life you just have to do your best and don’t worry about the rest.

Do not be discouraged when people don’t praise you and do not get too encouraged when they praise you. Just keep being the best you can be. If you do that you will maintain your happiness and your peace of mind. In my earlier post today I wrote that I liked how Ben handled the press conference. We all can learn from him. Are you ready for the showdown in Texas?

Two To Texas – Super bowl XLV

Super bowl forty-five will kick off in exactly 11 days. Jets and Bears fans have been rescued from the fields of depression and are now on the bandwagon of either the Steelers or Packers bandwagon. The loss for New York and Chicago was great, but the teams who are heading to Dallas really played well.

So, who will win Super bowl XLV? I think the Steelers will go in as the favorites and will win. Packers will play them tough and it is going to be a great game. Starting next Monday I will begin a series of surface analysis of the both teams.
