Magic Show- Knicks Win
The NY KnicksMagic Show
Orlando Magic left their back of tricks in Orlando and came to New York City where the Knicks made them disappear. I wonder if Dwight Howard is regretting his signing. Could he have lost his Magic team? What is going on with the Knicks? They are 8-1 since D’Antoni skipped town. Carmelo Anthony said since the coaching change the players have all “locked in.” Are you all “locked in” as far as the New York Knickerbockers making the playoffs?
Knicks All Locked In
Are you all “locked in”
that the Knicks can win the Atlantic Division? They showed that they can beat Orlando, Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, and Atlanta. Their real challengers in the East are Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Boston Celtics. They can beat all those teams at least once.
Orlando and Patrick Ewing
One would have thought the NY Knicks would have a hard time beating the Orlando Magic last night but the opposite was true. Then after the game somebody not happy that the Jets and Tim Tebow are the headlines as well as the news tried to stir up something. Patrick Ewing, Assistant coach with the Orlando Magic was asked if he would like to coach the Knicks. His response was yes and that now raises many questions. Why hasn’t anyone given Patrick Ewing a head coach job?
NBA Head Coaching- Sorority
I think he would make a great headcoach but NOT in New York. I love Patrick too much to see him booed and run out of town if they lose. Herb Williams had been on the bench forever- what’s going on? Please add your comments.
The NBA Draft is tonight and with a possible lock out of the players by the owners, teams might be willing to focus on the draft rather than trading for players with huge contracts. There are many good free agents on the market. One is Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic. My question is after the letdown of Lebron James and the Miami Heat, should Pat Riley trade Lebron James for Dwight Howard if such an offer were made?
It is an interesting if not indecent proposal. Afterall, Lebron did not resign with the Cleveland Cavaliers because he wanted to “take his talents to South Beach” and play for the Miami Heat. Clearly, Miami Heat lacks a true big man who can throw it down. If Dwight Howard takes his Magic Show to South Beach, Pat Rilesy would have to give up somebody. Wade and James play the same position, so if the experiment of summer 2010 failed, should the Heat trade somebody for Dwight Howard? I don’t think it will happen, but it is food for thought. The Heat will have to do something. Bosh and James can no longer shy away from championship games. That’s why they play the game of basketball.
Dwight Howard is not afraid of the bright lights of the fourth quarter. He understands that it pays to finish strong. When you watch athletics, many times you see an athlete with a burst of speed who manages to beat out the runner who led from the start. That’s finishing strong.
Dwight Howard could help Miami or stay in Orlando and hope he still has some magic after 12-15 years with no ring. The East has gotten very strong and there is no guarantees for any team next season. The Heat might win seven or more championships in the next decade, but so could Dallas Mavericks, Boston, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Chicago Bulls. So, tonight is gonna be a good night. Tonight is gonna be a good good night.
No Tricks – Magic Lose
The NBA playoffs are on in earnest and the Bulls, the Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks all escaped with a win.Orlando Magic lost their bag of tricks and the Hawks swooped down on them before they could find it and steals game one. They are going out in the first round this time around. The Hawks were the only team who won on the road yesterday. Dwight scored his 46 but his team loss. What is that all about?
The Miami Heat barely escaped with a win. With their three superstars, I was looking for them to manhandle the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers, but they weren’t dishing out any brotherly love.
The Heat are in for a battle, so too is Chicago Bulls. Indiana Pacers came within a minute of pulling an upset and no doubt they will come back strong. The New York Knicks throw their hat on the court tonight and that is going to be a classic. Watch and enjoy!
Knicks End Seven Years of NBA Playoffs Famine
The New York Knicks have ended the playoffs drought by securing a spot in the 2011 NBA playoffs season.
At the start of the season we expected that and we can only hope that they can improve their position by winning their remainder games. That way they might match up against the Boston Celtics and not the Orlando Magic or Miami Heat. Congratulations are in order for the Knicks. Go win even one round and all will be happy in NYC.
