Jets and NFL Football

The Jets Have It

Hello world

The New York Jets play tonight on CBS in prime time. That’s what it’s all about. The Jets belong in the prime time regardless of what anyone else thinks. Ever since Rex Ryan came to New York he made it clear that the Jets were about to wake up sleeping Giants. They have done that. People are not giving the Jets and Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez much credit because they forgot the New England Patriots were stealing the signals from the other teams including the Jets.

Has anyone noticed that since the scandal they haven’t won anything? What are your thoughts on the upcoming NFL football season and how do you think the Jets and the Patriots will do. Please leave your comments here.

Peyton Manning in Peyton Place

Hello world,

Peyton Manning has never missed the start of an National Football League (NFL) season. The NFL football season is a few weeks away, and it tells us many things, one of them is that summer is almost over. The next thing is that College football will be back on Saturdays very soon. As interesting as all those things are- they are not the news. The news is that the face of the National Football League (NFL). Peyton Manning might not start on September 11, when the Colts play Houston. The last time Peyton Manning did not start as quarterback he was playing at Tennessee University. The date was September 24, 1994. Peyton Manning is like Brett Favre. He is durable.

Can the Colts make it very far without Peyton Manning? They just signed journey man, Kerry Collins as insurance in case Peyton Manning cannot start. Collins is a veteran quarterback. He played very well in New York when he played for the NY Giants. He has been around the league a lot and played well for the Dolphins last season. So, he is no Mr. Manning, but he is experienced enough to play in Peyton’s Place. The question to Colts nation and football analysts is this- will Peyton Manning be ready for game one or will Collins have to lead the charge? Please share your comments.

NFL Lockout Is Over- Part 2

Are Your Ready for Some Football

Hello world, the National Football League (NFL) lockout is over and done. Let’s get back to football, shall we?

Were you following the news on the NFL lockout? If you like sports and are even a casual Super Bowl fan, then I am sure you were keeping up with what was going on in the NFL. It is interesting that in the NFL they were arguing over how to split their billions of dollars in profit, while the National Basketball Association (NBA) is saying more than half of the teams are not making any money. Is it because of the outrageous contracts that teams are giving to their “star” players to win a championship?

Money Talks Loud

We are living in a time when people want to feel rewarded from their hard labor. Football is a brutally rough sport and accidents do happen. Players have gotten injured which have left them paralyzed and unable to earn an income. So, I think most people were not angry with the players holding out for a better deal, and we were only concerned that they would meet half way and get the deal done. That was done yesterday, and now the signing frenzy begins. Every team has business to do. They have “free” agents to sign and trades and deals to make as they get ready for the start of the NFL 2010-2011 season.

How Does Your Team Stock Up?

What is your team and what do you think they will have to do to win this season? my team is the NY Giants and I am hoping they can win another Super Bowl this season. The only thing they should not do is sign Tiki Barber. Of course, you cannot ignore the New York Jets, so it will be interesting to see what they will do. Please share your comments here. Who is your team and what do they have to do to win this season? What changes must they make or not make? Who will win the Super Bowl? How do you feel about it? Put your comments here.

Super Bowl 45 -Snowstorm in Dallas

Hello world,

We are just about 24 hours away from Super Bowl XLV.  The only people not yet in Dallas are the fans who are stuck in airports in Pittsburgh and Green Bay.  The snow storm is really a phenomenon for the state of Texas and Dallas in particular.   Dallas is not used to this type of weather at all.  Snow!  Motorists driving on ice-covered streets! Unheard of. Yet, that is what is happening in Dallas.  Even Cowboys Stadium roof  is covered with snow, some of which fell off yesterday and injured seven people.   keep reading

Super Bowl XLV-Steelers Will Steel-Away To Glory

Steelers Will Steel The Cheese In Super Bowl XLV

Hello World,

Hope you are having a great week so far. I hope you are enjoying all the fanfare and buzz around Super Bowl XLV. In my post yesterday, I suggested that you
listen for the human interest stories.

Nonetheless, I am ready to make my prediction for the Super Bowl winner. Based on all that has
Happened throughout the season, the Green Bay Packers have shown they are a formidable team despite their record. Atlanta never showed up for their game and so the Packers are really going to be battle tested. Had the Chicago Bears played up to expectations, it would have been the Giants going to the next round.

That does not mean Green Bay Packers does not belong in the Super Bowl, I think it only means this game will be their biggest test yet. They have an excellent quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, but I think Ben Roethlisberger has been battle tested by the Ravens and the Jets and they are ready.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that is able to stop the run. I don’t expect the Packers to rack up too many yards on a great defensive team. I think the Steelers want this one especially because of the spotlight on Big Ben. My prediction is that the Pittsburgh Steelers will win 31-28 in a tight game.
