The New York Knicks Playoff Hopes Out of Bounds
The New York Knicks were done in by the Chicago Bulls last night and now they are only one game ahead of the Bucks. NBA Basketball is back and bigger than ever. They are in the conversation and could be the headlines behind the news. If the NY Knicks don’t win tonight they could be in jeopardy of making the playoffs. Why? Because the Milwaukee Bucks would have the tie-breaker over the New York Knicks. Things are getting really interesting in the Eastern Conference. Just a few weeks ago the Boston Celtics were left for dead, Rondo was on the trading block and the team was ready for an implosion, but they have been resurrected and they are hanging in there. They just beat the Miami Heat last night. Seems to me if the Heat don’t like their coach they’re not going to pull a Dwight Howard, they just let the other teams beat them. Is life a beach or is life a South Beach? What are your thoughts? Respond, please.
Magic Show- Knicks Win
The NY KnicksMagic Show
Orlando Magic left their back of tricks in Orlando and came to New York City where the Knicks made them disappear. I wonder if Dwight Howard is regretting his signing. Could he have lost his Magic team? What is going on with the Knicks? They are 8-1 since D’Antoni skipped town. Carmelo Anthony said since the coaching change the players have all “locked in.” Are you all “locked in” as far as the New York Knickerbockers making the playoffs?
Knicks All Locked In
Are you all “locked in”
that the Knicks can win the Atlantic Division? They showed that they can beat Orlando, Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, and Atlanta. Their real challengers in the East are Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Boston Celtics. They can beat all those teams at least once.
Orlando and Patrick Ewing
One would have thought the NY Knicks would have a hard time beating the Orlando Magic last night but the opposite was true. Then after the game somebody not happy that the Jets and Tim Tebow are the headlines as well as the news tried to stir up something. Patrick Ewing, Assistant coach with the Orlando Magic was asked if he would like to coach the Knicks. His response was yes and that now raises many questions. Why hasn’t anyone given Patrick Ewing a head coach job?
NBA Head Coaching- Sorority
I think he would make a great headcoach but NOT in New York. I love Patrick too much to see him booed and run out of town if they lose. Herb Williams had been on the bench forever- what’s going on? Please add your comments.
THE REAL ROSE
Carmelo is All LIN
Carmelo Anthony can now play his true position. He was doing too many things and now with Jeremy Lin being a true point guard, Melo can play his own position and we will see the New York Knicks move up the charts and become a contender and no longer a pretender.
Carmelo Anthonyis being criticized unfairly because he was playing out of position. He had to be playing point guard, power forward, forward and everything in between. This is what Melo and Amare needed and now they have it. Let us give them a chance to play and then we can decide.
LINsanity with Precision
The biggest story in sports now is Linsanity. Even the New York Times is paying attention and there is so much going on that they don’t even have to make up anything. The truth of the matter is that you could not make this up. Jeremy Lin was cut by two teams who did not see his value and talent. Then when he got called up for the New York Knicks he was on the bench and two days away from being cut. In the second half of the Knicks versus Nets game he was ut in the game and he showed that he had what it took all along.
You Could Be The Next Jeremy Lin
Linsanity teaches us that if you prepare, do what you need to do and maintain a good attitude and spirit, even if you are despised, overlooked, undervalued, and are forgotten at the end of the bench of life, your opportunity will surely come. It may not come when you want it but it will come when you need it. NBA basketball is exciting again, New York Is buzzing, people are spending money and people are caught up in the feeling of euphoria. That is what can happen if you do not give up.
NBA in Jeopardy
The NBA is still under a lockout with no signs of the two sides reaching an agreement. Are the wealthy NBA players who are showing up at the hearings really looking out for those who are at the bottom of the totem pole? Somebody has to come to the table with a possible solution and not pointing fingers. Why doesn’t the players believe the owners are losing money? How many arenas are open after the 82 game season? Both sides need to recognize they need each other to survive. Until they come to the table with that mindset, they will only come with mistrust and arrogance.
The NBA players have to realize that for a long time the owners have dole out money to players who never bothered to show up and play to the best of their ability. That meant their teams never made the playoffs and so that was less revenue for the owners.
Of the 28 teams in the NBA and about 500 players, only about 50 players are really great and if we have them spread out among five or six teams, it means the other teams are really not making any money. It is not hard to imagine. At this point the players must realize that neither they nor the owners are the suffers, it’s the people who work at the arenas in all capacities. They don’t make millions of dollars. It’s time for basketball and enough with the press conferences.
Miami Heat Is High
Is the Miami Heat on tonight or what? if Dallas goes down by two games at home they might as well prepare to see the Miami Heat celebrate on their floor. That would be “cold.”
