Major League Baseball (MLB)was at its peak last night. What an amazing end to a topsy turvy season of baseball. It was epic! The big news in sports this morning is as follows: Boston Red Sox are out and that is just great. I am a New York Yankees fan. The Braves are out as they allowed the Philies to beat them. That doesn’t even shake the baseball world as Atlanta Braves has been missing the post season for a while. Later in the night, the New York Yankees gave up a 7-0 lead and Tampa Bay Rayslive to play another day. Now, the teams that gutted it out are moving on. For a Yankees fan all I can say about the Boston Red Sox is hey! Hey! Hey! Goodbye
Boston’s Free Fall
At the start of this season Boston Red Sox was predicted by experts to win it all. In early September the same experts said Boston was running away with the division and the Yankees would be the wild card. But the real experts are those that put on a uniform and go out and play the game. Yankees Nation are ready to get behind their team and support them to 28. One of the questions we have to ask as a sports fan is, what happened to the Boston Red Sox? What really happened? Thanks to Baltimore Orioles for WINNING and sending Boston Red Sox home. What should Yankee Nation be saying to Boston Red Sox? Na-na-naa naa, na- na naa- naa, hey, hey, hey, good-bye!
Good-Bye Boston Red Sox
The Rays pulled off an epic win by coming back from seven runs down to beat the Yankees and book their ticket to the post season as a wild card. That was sheer grit and determination. It just goes to show that even if the experts don’t pick you and even if you’re down in the valley, if you make up your mind to get up and out- you will. You have a say in your destiny. Today, learn from the Yankees, they were supposed to be the wild card, yet they won their division. You can learn from Tampa Bay Rays, they came out of nowhere and mowed Boston Red Sox, passed them and won the wild card spot. Never, never give up.
YANKEE NATION SPEAK UP
New York Yankees are the news this morning. They are the American League (AL) East Division Champions and booked their ticket to the playoffs. Well done! The Yankees have triumphed over their detractors once again. You can’t keep a great team down. So far it has been an amazing year for the Yankees despite those negative “expert’s” predictions. Once again we realize that a team might look good on paper, but that does not mean anything on the field. Life is like that too, don’t let “experts” determine your success or failure. You decide.
I remember at the start of the Major League Baseball (MLB) season all the “experts” had all but given the Boston
Red Sox the world series championship. They said the Yankees would be the wild card. But the Yankee Nation never gave up. Yankee Nation kept believing that all things were possible. Yankees kept WINNING! Congratulations to Yankee Nation! Yankee Nation, let me hear you. We know we are not yet in the Promise Land but we are on our way to 28. It will be epic!
New York Love The Yankees
New York Yankees
The New York Yankees are on the rebound. They are just half a game behind Boston Red Sox and they seem to be getting it all together. Yankee nation will recall the start of the baseball season when Boston was supposed to run away with the division and eventually win the World Series. The Yankees were seen as maybe making the playoffs as a wild card, but not too many people believed in them. Then Boston started 0-6 and the Yankees came into town and turned Boston’s season around. They started winning. Well, as of this morning, Monday, August 15, 2011, the Yankees are coming. It is not over yet. Go Yankees!
In life we can draw hope from the Yankees. They always have to endure criticism by the naysayers, but as long as they don’t let it get into them and their locker room, they always come out on top. That is the lesson you need to learn, especially if you are not of Yankee nation. It doesn’t matter what people say about you, it doesn’t matter, as long as you don’t let it get in you and in the locker room
of your mind. Believe in yourself and by. Doing that, you will eventually prove the naysayers wrong. Let that wisdom guide you today and everyday. Have you ever been under estimated and given over for dead? What did you do? Go Yankees! We need another parade in New York City.
New York Yankees- Second Half
The MLB All Star gane ended on Tuesday and yesterday marked the beginning of baseball’s second half. The Yankees had a chance to get closer to Boston Red Sox, but they got whacked in Toronto last night. Imagine the Yankees who rested their All Stars losing 7-16. The Yanks tanked in Toronto.
Now what? What is wrong with the Yankees pitching? If they can pitch they can’t win. Clearly they are scoring, but if the bull pen can’t hold the score down what’s a Yankee to do? If the Yankees intend to keep their pride and win their division they need more that CC Sabathia.
Now that the NBA season is over, so too is the talk about Lebron James. He us in the Bahamas enjoying his lifestyle. So, while the owners and players have until the end of the month to work out an agreement, we can now turn our attention to baseball. Before we do that let me congratulate the Boston Bruins for winning the Stanley Cup. They were certainly the underdogs in the series, but now they are the top dog. Way to go Bruins!
Just going back to the Boston Bruins and the Dallas Mavericks we learn that it is not how you start, but how you finish. That brings me to the 2011 MLB baseball season. The Boston Red Sox started out 0-6 and many were ruling them out of the playoffs. But today, the Red Sox are a game and a half in front of the New York Yankees and first place in their division. That tells me no matter how you stumbled out of the starting blocks of life you can recover if you stay focused and consistent. Yankee nation- keep believing. Derek Jeter is down but he is not out. He will have his 3,000 hits whether at home or on the road. A-Rod will start swinging even harder and the Yankees are going to make it.
The New York Yankees will catch the Boston Red Sox and win the division. Nothing else will do for them and their loyal fans. In the meantime- let’s play ball!
