March Madness and the New York Knicks

The New York Knicks March Madness

Hello world,

The March Madness Conspiracy in New York

The New York Knicks are winning again. Wow! Am I the only one wondering how is it that the New York Knicks suddenly remember to play defense and to hustle after the ball? Am I the only one wondering how strange it is that all of a sudden the New York Knicks are playing with energy and are happy on he court? Am I the only one who believes that Mike D’antini did himself a big favor and probably prevented himself from having a nervous breakdown by just quitting and walking away before he got fired?

The New York Knicks players suddenly realize that it is a shortened season and they need to play like they want to make the playoffs. Suddenly they are awake and realize that while they were sabotaging their coach they were in fact ruining their season. How many people still believe they can cut off their nose to spite their face. Well, I don’t hear your nose complaining.

LINsanity and March Madness

Looks like Linsanity is alive and well. Why were the Knicks not laying like this before? Because the stars on the Knicks team were not happy with D’Antoni and they knew if they played bad enough the coach would be gone. The question for Woodson now is this; what if they decide to quit on you like they did on D’Antoni? Enjoy your weekend. The Knicks are 3-0 under the new coach. Let’s wish them well.

The Butler Didn’t Do It – Connecticut Did!

Connecticut Are National Championships of the NCAA Basketball

Hello world,

Congratulations to the Connecticut Huskies (UConn) for winning the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship last night.I don’t care about “pretty” or not, they won because they didn’t give up at half time they came back with a plan and they won. Butler fought a good fight just to get to the championship game
and they just ran out of gas. They are a superb team and if they stay the same they will be back next year.

UConn is a picture of determination, fight, mental toughness, guts, and then finally glory. They battled their way through the Big East and beat Louisville. They came into the NCAA not as favorites, not as a number one seed, but they just worked hard and played hard. This is just one time when the “Butler didn’t do it.” Congratulations UConn! Congratulations Connecticut! You did it! Great! Great! Great!

People of the world, never, ever give up no matter if everybody is against you. UConn beat some good teams like Michigan State, Kentucky, and Texas during the regular season, and they lost four of their last five in the regular season, and people wrote them off. They didn’t listen to the “experts,” they didn’t listen to “Vegas,” they listened to their coach and they believed in themselves.

Look at Butler- they were in the championship game last year, yet few people had them going that far this year. They didn’t listen to people, they listened to their coach (and what a classy guy he is), they believed in themselves and they gave it their best. Yes, they didn’t win, but they played to the end. That is the take away. Never, ever give up. Play to the end.

The Butler didn’t do it this time- Connecticut did it. Congratulations UConn. Enjoy your victory.

NCAA Final Four- The Unlikely Suspects

Not Your Usual Suspects

Hello world,

Have you been following the NCAA Men’s basketball tournament? It has been real madness. How many experts or fans guessed that Kentucky, Butler, Connecticut and VCU would still be “dancing?”

I know I have Kentucky and Connecticut going pretty deep on one bracket sheet, but I
Know I am not one of the two people who out of over 2 million fans on ESPN bracket challenge got the final four correct.

Now when you look at it seemed as if careful analysis would have brought more people to this final four. Afterall, Butler just missed out of the winnings last year. Connecticut played their heart out in the Big East Championships. Kentucky we know is a perennially good team. VCU should have been the only to throw us off. They had to do a “play-in” game to get to the 64. So, why didn’t more people get it?

NCAA March Madness 2011- Final Four

The NCAA tournament is getting down to the final four.  I am not sure how everybody is doing, but with Ohio State bowing out last night I am about done.  I had them going all the way.  It seems as if the big names are falling by the way and the least like to win teams are the ones still playing.

I had about three sheets, so I still have Kansas and Connecticut going to the final four.  So far Connecticut is doing great and I hope they can win so I can keep watching.  The interest wanes once the big seeds begin to fall and when the teams left are unknowns.  Nonetheless, I love basketball so I will keep watching even though my brackets are probably history.

What is your experience?  Are you still hanging on or are your teams out too?  Share! Who is not your final four?
