Black and Blue Friday

Black Friday has a few more hours to go and by Cyber Monday we will know if businesses are now in the black. In business black is good.
So, what had a woman waiting under a tent in line with her two children a day before the store opened?

Black Friday Overlapping Turkey Day

Hello world,

Black Friday is here. Make no mistake about it, Black Friday is for the merchants. This is the day they plan to get out of the red and get into the black on their books. In order for them to get into the black and out of the red, they hope you will get out of the black and get into the red. In other words, they have a plan to separate you from your money.

Black Friday is about getting out of the Red.

This is not a problem because everybody is in business to make money. I am both a consumer and an entrepreneur so I understand both sides if the coin. I’m offering Black Friday deals, but I am also looking for deals. If I don’t have money I can’t spend money. So, here is the conclusion of the whole matter on Black Friday. Be a wise shopper and if you’re the business person, really give people a deal. They will come back after the holidays. Black Friday is only one day.

Regis Philbin- Made for Television

REGIS IS THE LION KING OF TELEVISION

REGIS IS THE LION KING OF TELEVISION

Regis Philbin – A Class Act

Hello world,

The talk in the news media and indeed on and off main street is the fact that Regis Philbin is leaving “Live with Regis and Kelly.” We know he is 80 only because he said so, but he doesn’t look it or act it. Regis was made for television.

LION KING of TELEVISION

Regis Philbin is undoubtedly the “lion king” of television. I remember the days with Katie Lee Gifford. Those were great days. Then Kelly Rippa came along and just pushed the show over the top. Everybody who is anybody in public circles have been on “Live with Regis and Kelly.” No one, absolutely no one will be able to replace Regis. Just as sitting in a garage does not make you a car, neither does sitting in Regis’ chair makes you Regis. We are glad he is not retiring, but simply moving on.

WHEN TO MOVE ON

Many people do not know when to move on from one assignment to the next. Some people do not know when to move on from one relationship to the next. Doors close for a reason and they open for a reason. It is my belief that Regis lasted this long because he loved what he did and he was good at it. Then he made use of his opportunities.

REGIS DID IT HIS WAY

He did not just do the one hour show, he sang, he emceed, he wrote a book, he engaged in charitable work. He used his gifts and that is why he can walk away from television and still make money in another area. That’s the lesson we ought to learn from Regis Philbin. We cannot say goodbye to you, Regis. We will see you again. We expect to see you somewhere in January 2012. We love you, Regis.
