9/11 – the tenth anniversary is almost here and with two days tp go that is what dominates the news. The World Trade Center site on which the c/11 memorial is built will be opened on Sunday for the families. On September 12, the general public will be able to visit with a ticket. That’s New York City for you. Always a ticket for some thing. For many people 9/11 commemoration is just too much. It is a tough call. How do you see it? Fashion Night Out
Fashion Week 2011 Is Here
Fashion Week 2012 begins this Sunday, September 11, 2011 in New York City at Lincoln Center. It got started with Fashion Night Out (FNO) all over the country, but our focus is on NYC. All the stores were in on it. Manhattan was really buzzing from early evening. JC Penny had a host of celebrities and if you were willing to trade in a piece of clothing, you got a gift card for $25 and your clothing went to charity.
In the Herald Square area of the city, Macy’s was rocking. Tommy Hilfiger, Miss J Alexander from America’s Top Model was on the red carpet for a long time. Macy’s had a huge concert right in front of the stores, inside were other models and celebrities. People were taking pictures with Ipads, Iphones and blackberries, along with traditional cameras. The crowd was think and everyone was just having fun. Of course, I broke the rule of photographers, which is never leave home without your camera. So, I had to rely on the camera on my blackberry phone. It is really nothing to compare with even the Iphone, but I had to make do. What was Fashion Night like in your city or country? Did you get any great deals? Please share or add your comments.
