Let Carmelo Go, Now!
The NBA All Star 2011 game came and went without incident. There was an abundance of stars shining and it was good. My only disappointment was that something like the All Star game was not on ABC or another station where more people could watch. If you did not have cable you couldn’t see the Slam dunk and the three point shoot out which was the highlight of the weekend.</p
The game on Sunday was just for fun. It was an opportunity for the stars to get away and still not get rusty. Great opportunity for Doc Rivers. He’s been under the radar for a while and he is a great coach. Not many coaches who played the game have recently gone on to win a championship. Byron Scott came close with the New Jersey Nets.
<Speaking of the Nets, if they were to be foolish enough to trade away all they have now to get Anthony, do you think they will be better than the Cleveland Cavaliers? The question I have been asking is this, who will Carmelo play with when he gets to New Jersey? New Jersey had J Kidd, Richard Jefferson, Kenyon Martin, and nothing happened. Then they had "Air Canada" in the form of Vince Carter, and they still did win anything. What makes anybody think they are going to trade away everybody that can play and Anthony is going to come in.
It is time for the Nuggets to stop being unreasonable and let Carmelo go. The Knicks should not put anything else on the table- enough is enough. What else does the Nuggets want? Do they want the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State building too? Come on Denver, let Carmelo go!
